Guest Blogger- Julie Evans (360 Bridal Bootcamp)

Happy Monday everyone! If you know me at all, you know that I only promote and share with my clients the people and the business vendors that I truly believe in, adore (because they are passionate about what they do), and admire. If I can help someone else by sending an awesome service to my clients, I have serviced two awesome people. What do I expect in return.... not. a. thing. Is that ok? :) When I first met Julie, I thought she had an interesting business and service to offer to my brides and information valuable to not only myself... but all my readers and clients. I was super happy when Julie agreed to be a guest blogger on my blog so she, herself could share the knowledge about what she does. Julie has a system that works... she is living proof. Her before and after images are a true testament of will-power and dedication. We can all do what we set our minds to. Sometimes, however... we need a little guidance along the way.

Julie offers bridal boot-camps for brides. How awesome? These brides are preparing for one of the most memorable days of their lives... and they all want to look their best. Julie has a program that is tailored specifically to brides. These brides can bring their bridesmaids, friends, a mom, etc... to a bootcamp that will be an informational and life-changing program. Oh... and I am certain there will be some fun along the way!

So with out further a-do... I would like to introduce Julie Evans!!!!

Be Fit, Be Picture Perfect on Your Big Day

I bet you are deep in the midst of your plans for your wedding or other big event. Is one of the things on your to-do list, taking time to get more trim or to tone up so you can look your best in your photos?

Read on for 7 easy ways to work out at home with little or no equipment.

  • Jumping Jacks – We all remember these from childhood. But did you know that they are a great way to get in a cardio workout. Try this. Do jumping jacks for one minute. Take a rest for a minute. Repeat this cycle 4 – 8 times. Once you are done, you have just boosted your metabolism and your cardiovascular health.
  • Pushups – A lot of people dread these, but I highly recommend you put them into your exercise routine. They are fabulous for building strength in your arms and chest area. Keep in mind that you do not have to them one-handed in Marine Corp. fashion. Start at your fitness level. Modify by doing them on your knees instead of keeping your legs straight. Or even start by standing and doing them against a wall.
  • Crunches – These are a simple way to strengthening your abdominal muscles. Concentrate on squeezing your abdominal muscles as you come up and make sure to keep your neck relaxed.
  • Squats – These are one of my favorite exercises for your legs and gluts. Remember, when squatting to make sure your knees are directly above your ankles. If your knees are going past your toes, then, you are hyperextending your knees and your knees are going to complain and injury can be the result. To do a squat correctly, think of pushing your bottom backward, like you are getting ready to sit in a chair.
  • Light Weight Lifting – I know I said little or no equipment. So how do I propose are you going to work out without spending money on dumbbells? Use whatever you can find in your house. Soup cans or vegetable cans all can be used to get you started. Once, those have become easy, work your way to heavier items like milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles or even water jugs.
  • Dancing – Put on your favorite get-you-moving songs and have a dance party in your living room. Again, great cardio exercise that can boost your mood while it tones your body.
  • Step Exercises – To do these, stay on the bottom step, and step up and down as quick as you can, alternating feet. This exercise can follow the timing for the jumping jacks. Shoot for one minute of stepping. One minute of rest. Repeat for 4 – 8 times. You get an awesome cardio workout with no equipment and very little time.

Here is a suggested workout schedule to put these into your day. Do exercises two through five on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Do 8-15 reps of each. Pick exercise one or seven and do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting with 4 cycles and working your way up to 8 or even 12 cycles. If a minute is too long at first to do them, then start with 20 or 30 seconds and work your way up. Fitness is all about starting where you are and then consistently moving forward. Have fun!

Health and Blessings to You!

Julie Evans

Julie Evans has not always been trim. In her mid-forties, she found an overweight, unhappy person staring back at her from the mirror. So, she went on a journey to take charge of her life and her health. Since then, she has lost over 50 pounds. When, she found her career at a crossroads and she choose to follow her passion and become an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She can help you reach your fitness goals, too. She can be found at www.360bridalbootcamp.com or www.360befit.com.

Thank you for reading folks! Have a happy and healthy Monday!!!

Doug & Kristen- Maternity

To say I adore these two is quite an understatement! I had the honor of photographing their wedding a few years ago. Working with these two just makes you feel privileged. Their kind hearts and amazing souls just radiate from them.... always! Doug and Kristen just make people happy. Their friends and family are just blessed to have them in their life.
When I heard the baby news for Doug and Kristen, I was soooo excited for them. Anytime a previous bride and groom have baby news... I am jumping up and down!
