This little sweetie made my day! One of my favorite families who I have been photographing for years added this little guy to their family...

Lovin' the view...

I love the view.
As I am sitting here trying to convey just how I am going to get my point across, how sick of the gray winter I am and how I like, no love the last snow we've had... I feel frustrated because I can't tell the story like I want. Sometimes I do not have the words that I am looking for exactly... yup... that's just me. I get frustrated because I can not even think of words deep enough to compel what I am thinking or feeling...sometimes, so I speak through photos... that is what I do. I took this photo today while driving in my car. It makes me happy and I am thankful for the view. So while I hope your Monday has been meaningful, I will let my photo do the talking for me today...

This adorably, charming family came from Cinci to spend the morning with me. Reese is such a sweet baby and the love her adorable parents have for her is just.... precious. Reese, you are such a lucky little girl!!! A birthday is a day to celebrate life and celebrate all the memories. Who does not LOVE their birthday and to feel special on their birthday? Well today is Jim's birthday. A loving father, a caring husband, a friend to many, a wonderful grandfather, a guy who thinks he is funny but he is not.. (just kidding)! I do not always do shout-outs on birthdays... but today I am.

Jim, thank you for all of your love and support thorough the years. You are an incredible person and we all are so thankful to have you in our lives.

Laundry Detergent and Keeping count - In Personal

So many of you who know me, know that we have 3 kids. 3!!! As you can imagine the amount of laundry in our house is over-whelming. I mean seriously??? Time and time again I have tried to find a better way.... thinking... there MUST be a better way! I have made my own laundry detergent and it works... great! Except for the reality that I do not always have time to make it, and then the laundry... well it would start over-taking our house. I am not joking. So I purchase laundry detergent just like everyone else and I know that what it says on the bottle just can not be true. I buy the big-dog of laundry detergent... thinking, okay 96 loads, this should last awhile. Before I know it, gone... the whole thing. I am like.... whoa.... I know I did not do 96 loads of laundry because I would not have this much laundry still dirty, my neighbor would have none, and I just know I did not fold that many loads of clothes in this time frame. .... Are ya with me???

Okay... so the huge dork that I am (yes I admit it.) I thought I would prove this laundry detergent wrong. (I have no clue why). I would. keep track. I would use my little tally marks and mark the bottle each time I use it so I can no longer think that I am losing my mind, but more importantly know how many loads I get out of a huge container of detergent that claims I will get 96.

So yeah... I am at 38 loads and there is not much left in the bottle. Hmmm.... I am filling it up to the line, only a few overflowed into the washer... a few. Not enough to make up for 50-something loads~!
So I know this is so random, but if anyone has any ideas on how to make my detergent go further because God knows I have a ton of laundry, I would appreciate it!!!

Checking In- Update

Whew... I can really hardly believe that January is almost over and February is here! Time truly is flying quickly around here!! There are a lot of exciting projects that I have been working on for 'Ashley Mauro Photography' some that I can't wait to share with all of you!!!!!...Many exciting things are in the works. I also wanted to remind all of you that January is one of two times of the year that our discs go 50% off. That means if you were a past AMP bride and your disc was NOT included in your package, you can get it in January and July at 50% off. The disc includes ALL of your images as high-res files. I realized I have not posted this on the Blog yet, the word has just been spreading verbally. Just in case you did not catch the memo... now you know! I will extend this offer into the first few weeks of February for those of you interested.
Wedding season is almost here.... I am so excited for my brides this year. We have so many wonderful events scheduled, it is going to be a great year. We are continuing to meet with such wonderful people and we are officially signing into 2011!!! So spread the word about that. I hope that all of you are enjoying the winter season and staying busy... a good way to ignore all the gray! Beautiful Spring is right around the corner!!!! So have a fabulous weekend! ...and because no post is fun without a picture... Ms. G....

Yes, we have 2 other children!!! I will be posting them here soon. She just really made me laugh last night. It was 3am... I am soooo tired. She is in our bed moving and making noises. I said "Gianna, you should be asleep" her reply.... "I am sleeping". What do you say to that? Oh, the joys of parenthood.

I just wish I could pause time. I can't.... so I document with photos. That is what I do.
